Eureka is a great find if you want to use your intuition!

I first read Anne's other book, The Path to Intuition which is another great resource on learning to embrace your intuition. In Eureka, I enjoyed the historical map of intuition - it confirms the timeless truth about intuition that it is something we all possess and can choose to use or not. The book is a treasure and provides so much information on intuition at work, characteristics of intuitive people. This very well laid out book helped me recognize my intuition in a way I had not before. I really enjoyed the Eureka System - the 7 step process. Fantastic read and wonderful resource.

I Absolutely LOVE King Henry Price and is Cohorts

I absolutely love Richard Raley's King Henry Price stories. His story is unique, fun, and so easy to lose myself in. These stories have it all - teen angst, coming-of-age, drama, relationships, romance, action, "magic", monsters...you name it. And somehow, Mr. Raley makes it all come together in the most believable and engaging way, with very good, well developed characters. When reading the dialogue, Mr. Raley actually uses different voices and speech mannerism for his characters, and this makes them so much more engaging and believable. I desperately hope Richard Raley does not tire of writing about King Henry Price and his cohorts anytime soon.

A Taste of Awesome

The King Henry Tapes is easily one of the best series I've ever had the joy to read. This book is a collection of short stories that continues that series (book "5.5" Raley writes) and it opens up characters and events that book 6 will stand on. As always the stories are beautifully crafted and professionally edited. Raley's characters are simply awesome: they're unique, interesting, quirky (in the best of ways), and alive in so many ways that they're instantly believable and impossible to walk away from. If you're a fan, you need to buy this book. Now. If you're not familiar with his work, start with "The Betrothal, Or How I Saved Alan Edwards From 40 Years Of Hell" which is an excellent stand-alone piece. Then buy first King Henry Tapes book, and then... Welcome to the addiction.

A million years ago, the Great Masters of Wisdom recorded a mysterious manuscript widely known as the Book of Dzyan -- a Tibetan name meaning the Book of Secret Wisdom. Written in a language unfamiliar to modern philology, called Senzar, this oldest book in the world has served as the source of every ancient religion, philosophy, and science.

The Masters stored it in the legendary realm of Shambhala, each century admitting only a few chosen ones to read some of its pages. “The Book of Secret Wisdom” is a glance at the Earth beyond Time, beyond Space, beyond Distance, conveying in simple phrases the past, present and future history of humanity. To be honest, my mind could not fully understand what was written, but the heart realized the whole Magnificent Mystery of Life on our planet and trembled in time with the words on the page.

When you read the stanzas from the Book of Dzyan, an amazing inner process takes place. You seem to experience the evolution of the planet; it goes on inside of you, and you watch as its state changes. Now pain, now joy, now acceleration of motion; then slowly, slowly, something binds you fast, and again a spiralling turn upwards, and then delight and Love! Everything is so Grand and so Simple!

“The Book of Secret Wisdom” expands the boundaries of our vision of the surrounding world. It affirms that the basis of all things is Love: without Love there is no Life. It teaches us to hear and understand the Voice of our Heart. We might also call this the doctrine of Blavatsky in simple words. For those who are searching, it is a field for reflection. The ancient Book of Dzyan, keeping the secret of the origin and evolution of humanity, was encoded by the signs unfathomable to many minds. But the author of “The Book of Secret Wisdom” translated it in simple and understandable language even for a child — in the Language of Love. The book is permeated with such a love for the Earth and humanity that one has a feeling as if Love herself, having given life to the planet Earth, reveals her mysteries to us on the pages of this book.

Having risen above everything (above the history of the creation of Continents, Races, and Nations, and above Life and Death), over a short period of time, one can behold the creative Power, transcending all the layers of Existence—the Power of the Supreme Love. One can trace the course of the development of Humanity, the Sacrifice of our higher Leadership, and the triumph of the Forces of Light.

Living an ordinary life, it is almost impossible to take in the whole chain of the evolution of the Earth and Humanity at a single glance, as if looking down from the Cosmos. It is difficult to evaluate the role of the Divine Beings in the creation of a God-man. This book gives you an opportunity to soar up and open your eyes. I have personally seen all of these things, and I seem to have found my place in this Process. When certain successes are achieved, it is best not to boast of them, but instead to go on into the ranks of the Last and continue the Path of Ascent. We must combine internal work (self-perfection) with external work (to bring light to people by one’s example of Love and loyalty to the Cause of Light). These may be lofty-sounding words for an ordinary person, but it can’t be helped—this is that kind of book.

The basic principal was that the corporate structure limited liability for shareholders, protecting them from personal lawsuits. This made investment more palatable, allowing risky overseas trade to flourish. Companies became legal “persons” who dominated the entire global economy. The purpose of a company was to make profit for its shareholders; it had no heart and no soul. In fact, if a board of directors acted benevolently towards society, leading to a loss in profit, the shareholders would be well within their rights to sue the directors. The government’s role in all of this was to act as the conscience for the company. Regulation was meant to ensure that the quest for profit was tempered by the needs of the community. If, however, a government was usurped by corporate interests, leading to complete deregulation, then a Corporatocracy (or Corpocracy as it would be commonly referred to) would ensue, a system of governing that would put the pursuit of profit ahead of everything else. - Cassandra Taylor, chief colonial historian Chapter 1 Matt sat on his garage-sale couch contemplating how he got here, a roach infested rental just outside the spaceport complex in New Dallas. At least he had his holoscreen and his old school 2-D movies. They don’t make them like they used to. He had spent the last ten years trying to right a wrong that had happened to his family, but that was ancient history now. Nobody cared about the Displaced any more. When 911-2 happened on September 11, 2053, the suitcase nukes had destroyed entire city centers. Matt’s family was lucky to survive, having gone camping on the Oregon coast that horrifying week. The family had lost everything when Seattle was destroyed – friends, family, their very home. Dallas and Toronto were hit at the same time, on the same day. Other bombs failed or were thwarted in Washington, New York, and Los Angeles. It came out of nowhere, when most people had forgotten about the old Gulf Wars and the War on Terror. Perhaps someone should have listened when the pundits of the time warned that relentless bombing of civilians would lead to generations of new fundamentalists and terrorists. The world had once again been on the brink of all-out nuclear war, but massive retaliatory strikes by the USA, Canada, and the UK on terrorist targets around the globe were authorized by the international community. A huge pressure valve was released. When the dust settled, it was clear that the world would never be the same again, just like after the first 911...

Having established himself as an author by publishing a critically acclaimed music business book (“A Career in Music: the other 12 step program”), Bob became fascinated with the craft of writing. As a long time recording artist and songwriter, he took to writing of novels with the same passion that he always has in creating music. “The Displaced” is Bob D’Eith’s first novel and the first installment in “The Corpocracy Series.”

fast paced, well written sci-fi

I loved this book and could not put it down. It was very imaginative but blended in historical truths with the fictional side of the story which made it feel more authentic. The characters were well thought out and believable as they stretched your own imagination to match the story. A very enjoyable read and I cannot wait for the sequel.

An Engaging Read

“The Displaced” explores the perils of a society motivated by profit. Reminiscent of “Brave New World” by Aldous Huxley where the medicated masses are nothing more than compliant, expendable worker bees serving the elite, “The Displaced” cautions against the self serving interests of big business.

The story is plausible and entertaining and I look forward to reading the next book in the series!

The Ultimate Electrical Troubleshooting Guide

Let me start by stating that this book is not only an excellent learning/training resource, but also an invaluable reference to keep with you in your toolbox or toolbag out in the field.

The books starts off with some basic troubleshooting tips and suggestions, followed by an overview of basic electrical theory. There are also chapters dedicated to the use and operation of the various test meters and instruments used in the electrical field.

Typically a chapter will introduce the reader to the basic operating principles and theory behind different industrial electrical devices such as motors, relays, diodes, and PLC's. This overview is then followed by a section or chapter on how to troubleshoot these various devices and common problems that you may encounter. This format helps the reader to understand why a certain problem may be occurring and how to possibly prevent it in the future.

The index and glossary are very useful for finding specific information, and the included CD-ROM is an excellent learning tool and and will surely help anyone trying to "self-teach" with this book.
